Aethyr is a piece that has been sitting on my hard disk for ages, in fact, since late July 2002. In November I had another go at it, posted a rather primary version (now deleted) and received some very good suggestions, one of which, by ~lady-iguana (thanks, lass!) determined what Aethyr looks like now. I am not at very sure when it was finished (though it must have been sometime in December), nor why I hadn't posted it at the time, but I just stumbled across it tonight, gave it a few finishing touches -- and there you have it.
 The basis for the face is a photograph of Aishwarya Rai overpainted beyond recognition; the rest of the image is digitally generated with the aid of filters and vector masks. |
